Open Breed Show - 7th October 2018

Judge: Julie Mead-Peacock (Somniatis)

Thank you to the Midland Border Collie Club committee for inviting me to judge, and thank you for my lovely entry.

Special Award Junior Dog or Bitch (5)
This class was headed by two very nice girls, both showing plenty of life as expected, both have so many lovely qualities and I can see both having a very bright future.
1. Sashdan Never Ending Story (AI) - 13 month old, Black/White Bitch, beautiful head, which is balanced and feminine. Lovely length of neck and well laid shoulders, nice overall shape; a very confident girl with a smooth outline on the move, plenty of drive.
2. Littlethorn Aero - 17 month old, Black/White Bitch, very energetic and enjoying her day, beautiful expression, well laid shoulder, athletic body but still plenty of bone, and well angulated rear.
3. Master Of Illusion JW

Special Award Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (7)
1. Alpana Strike A Pose - 2 year old, Black/White/Tri, Lovely head, expression and coloration, nice overall shape and good reach of neck leading to well laid shoulders, well muscled throughout.
2. Littlethorn Cortina - 8 year old, Blue Tri, definitely not showing her age, beautiful head and expression, good reach of neck and plenty of drive, nice angulation throughout and slope of croup, this girl could definitely work all day.
3. Vitala Chapter And Verse

Special Award Open Dog or Bitch (6, 1a)
1. Sh Ch Caleykiz Smoke On The Water - 6 year old, Blue & White boy, one I have admired for a while, he has so many good attributes, from a glamorous coat to overall shape and condition. He has a lovely expression and a balance of head, he is attentive to his handler at all times, nice reach of neck leading onto well laid shoulders, good turn of stifle and slope in croup.
2. Littlethorn Manta - 3 year old, black & white boy, with a lovely head and expression, he has plenty of reach and drive on the move, unlucky to meet 1 as he has many of the same attributes.
3. Anscot Elliot JW
