Class A Bitch Pt 2 Critique
12th April 2004
58 entries, 48 worked.
Thank you Midlands BC Club for the invitation to judge at your show this year. I have a feeling that a very few people are having to work very hard to keep
this show going; your efforts are very much appreciated. Thanks to Gill for offering to steward for me - a faultless job, needless to say, with everyone put
at their ease & guided carefully round the course. Thanks, too, to Bev Hughes for manning the scoreboard for the critical Scent exercise; you were a great help.
This was a large, strong class with several teams more than capable to winning the class. Two such teams who suffered 'mishaps' were Miss Appleyard's Rustic
Dream (X) who fell over in Stays & Mr Armstrong's Stillmoor Touch Of Honey (BC) - a wonderful Heelwork & Recall & then went totally silly in Retrieve.
The honours today went to:
1st Bisquet Pyne WS & Jill Grattridge. Worked in the running order & couldn't be beaten. Linnhe is very young but working with such style & confidence
under Jill's skilful nurturing. Congratulations on a worthy win.
2nd Fenellark Freedom BC & Barbara Smith. Another keen youngster bound to do well in the hands of a sympathetic & experienced handler. Very well done.
After R/O
3rd Topori Dark Breeze WS & Mrs M Lilley. A beautiful large bitch with a 'Dotty' face. Super round - could easily win next time out.
After R/O
4th Porscha Winwonder GSD & Mrs S Winter. This lovely girl produced the best heelwork of the day. I
simply couldn't fault it. Accuracy combined with
outstanding natural style - wow!
5th Birkcliffe Katec Lingcre WS & Mrs L Keeler. Another good round from a very polished team. Well done.
6th Birkcliffe Lotties Angel WS & Mrs J Avill. Not available for R/O with stable mate, Cringle, above. A very keen little dog with bags of personality.
Hope your rosette has arrived by now.
There were no miserable, worried dogs in the class - & no nagging handlers. It was a pleasure to judge you all. Thank you for entering under me, accepting my decisions with good
grace & for sharing your lovely girls with me today. See you around the shows.
