Class B Bitch Pt 1 Critique
12th April 2004
40 entries, 31 ran.
Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge. It was a very pleasant day. Thanks to my steward, John, for his usual efficient stewarding & to Mark for acting as my decoy.
The round consisted of heelwork, retrieve, sendaway. I did it in this order hoping that it would enable the dogs to settle into working before attempting the sendaway. Unfortunately
quite a few dogs were unable to execute the sendaway properly, dropping short being the main fault. Thank you to the competitors for giving me the privilege of judging you & your dogs.
I wish you all success for the rest of the season.
Results: Two way run off for 1st place.
1st Classic Magic Charm. Miss B D Short. Well handled. Most points were lost on about turns. Good set exercises. 3rd 'B' win I understand. Good luck in 'C'.
2nd Danesway Double Delight At Forever Magic Mrs P Watson. The run off heelwork was super, however a jump up mom at one halt plus having to then get her back
into heelwork position was too many points to carry even with heelwork of this calibre. I feel she will be stronger with experience & I'm sure she is a champion in the making. Well done.
3rd Chalkwell Midsummer Katy. Mrs Hanney. Very good set exercises & a clear scent in the lead until stays. With exercises as good as these I'm sure your wins
will come soon. Good luck here.
2 way run off for 4th & 5th
4th Dumavala I'm For Keeps. Mrs D Fairfield. Well executed exercises losing only marginal points. Fast pace was the most costly today. Well handled, good luck
with her.
5th Birkcliffe Katec Lingcre. Mrs L Keeler. This lady was highly delighted to achieve this place. A reasonable accurate round. Handler lost 1 point otherwise
would have been placed higher. Well done.
6th Trajan Timeout Mr G A Lewis. Worked early in the running order. A good round of heelwork. A short drop in sendaway was very expensive. A clear scent secured
this place. Well done with her.
