SHOW REPORT

Championship Show - 30th April 2016

Bitches - Mrs Marion Turner (Germal)

Thank you to Midland Border Collie Club committee for inviting me to judge, steward (Hilary Kerr) for keeping me on track even in the rain and most importantly the exhibitors for a great entry. I enjoyed my day (even the weather) thank you.

All dogs were very well presented but I did find that a few of our breed do have the incorrect tail set which is something we need to watch for the future also I ask you to remember that this breed needs to move correctly and being outside today I saw several dogs who were simply too upright in the shoulder so unable to move the way this breed should. If a dog is made correctly it will have the correct reach and drive which this breed needs to have to work making them ‘fit for function'.

I was very pleased with my winners today and in some of the bigger classes some very good dog unfortunately went without cards.
